Saginaw Voyageurs to Arrive in Harbor Beach
The Saginaw Voyageurs plan to arrive at Lincoln Memorial Park in their 34′ canoe about 5 pm on August 1st. They are a living history group that travels the original routes of the French fur traders on the Great Lakes. They dress, eat, sleep and travel as the voyageurs did in the 18th and 19th centuries. They invite you into their camp to learn about the fur trade and the role it played in local history. A presentation will begin at 7:30 pm weather permitting.
